7i-Gears Africa Expo

Website design and development case study

Webdivs designed and developed the digital home for 7i-Gears Africa Expo. The site presents a multi-sector industrial event in English and Arabic, with a structured exhibitor directory, programme discovery, and registration journeys that help organisers collect qualified interest without a generic brochure template.

01

The Challenge

The engineering and energy sectors in Egypt and Africa lacked a unified platform where manufacturers, suppliers, and decision-makers could connect directly. Fragmented industry conversations meant missed partnerships and delayed adoption of new technologies.

02

Our Solution

Built a dedicated expo platform organizing seven industrial sectors—power, solar, fire & security, energy storage, elevators, automation, and AI—under one umbrella. The site guides visitor registration, enables booth inquiries, and connects exhibitors with qualified leads through a streamlined three-day event structure.

01 · Overview

What did Webdivs build for 7i-Gears?

The brief was a credible event website that could carry several industrial sectors in one destination. We structured the homepage, sector landings, exhibitor profiles, and registration flows so visitors can move from discovery to enquiry without hunting through unstructured pages.

Bilingual event IA

Arabic RTL and English routes share the same information architecture so sector content stays aligned.

Editorial event identity

Layout and typography support dense exhibitor and programme content without collapsing into a template brochure.

02 · The Multi-Sector Challenge

One expo, several industrial audiences

A multi-sector expo fails when every industry is treated as a single marketing block. We separated sectors into navigable groups, then let exhibitors sit inside the sector that buyers actually search. That keeps the homepage scannable while still giving each industry a useful landing.

Exhibitor grouping

Directory filters follow sector language used by trade visitors, not internal org-chart labels.

03 · Architecture & Event Directory

A CMS-backed directory that organisers can update

Sanity CMS holds exhibitor records, sector tags, and programme entries so the operations team can publish changes without waiting for a developer. Next.js renders the public site with bilingual routing, and Cloudflare sits in front for caching and TLS. PostgreSQL supports registration and operational data where structured records are required.

Editorial control

Organisers can add exhibitors, update booth details, and refresh programme copy from the CMS.

Public-site performance

Static generation and CDN caching keep directory pages fast for visitors arriving from campaigns.

04 · Registrations & Impact

From browsing to a usable registration record

Registration is treated as an operations tool, not a decorative form. Fields collect the exhibitor or visitor role, sector interest, and contact path that the sales team needs after the event. The public site explains what the visitor receives, then hands a structured lead to the organisers.

Sales handoff

Structured registrations reduce follow-up guesswork after the expo floor closes.
